The First Date

So I bet some of you are still wondering about this wonderful girl I keep going on about. I’ve decided to tell you the story but in order to keep things intresting, Im only gunna do it one date at a time. As I’ve already mentioned, I first met her when a good buddy of mine invited me to see a movie with them. Well as we left that day. I let him know that I was no doubt, interested in her. He was very happy and told me that I definitely needed to go for it and I willing to bet the some of you are guessing that I immediately pursued her. Well you’d be wrong. If you know me at all, you’ll know that I’m very strategic and tactful in these situations, carefully planning each and every move, making sure that every variable is accounted for. Making sure that no situation could catch me off guard.
After about two weeks of very careful planning and being encouraged and pushed by my best bud and his girlfriend, I bit the bullet and went for it, sending her a message on facebook properly. I started with small talk and got to know her, and it seem that we hit it off really well too. Then after about a week of this I invented her to see a movie with me, insisting that it be my treat and that I’d be paying for everything. She was hesitant but she accepted. I felt like a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders but little did I know, my job was just beginning. After going over specifics and such and ensuring her that this would be a “just friends” outing (not at all what I intended but she wasn’t looking for a relationship at the time so I went with it).

This “date” caused much controversy with my at the time roommate. (assumingly because my sights were no longer on her). She urged me time and time again to call it off, threatening to kick me out and such. I continued with my plan, deciding that it would be worthwhile in the end. The date was flawless. We saw Warm Bodies. She liked the movie. She enjoyed spending time with me. Hell, I think I even earned some brownie points when I stopped her as she tried to pay for her lunch. It was a great day. I felt great. It was after that day that I knew that, even though she wasn’t looking for a relationship, she could definitely find one…
